Welcome to the latest Northern Salvo, number 317. This issue features some reminiscences of a Yorkshire Railwayman, a short piece on Walt Whitman and Northern Socialism, various upcoming anniversaries and a tribute to my late friend Valerie. Also some more thoughts on HS2 (first published in ‘Chartist’) and an update on our Railway Library at Kents Bank. Not forgetting a plug for my book ‘Lancastrians: mills, mines and minarets’ and recent/upcoming talks.
Hope you enjoy it, comments always welcome.
best wishes, Paul
